This is GAICAT - a chatbot intended to help you with your cybersecurity-related questions. It can be accessible via catbot.it.ilstu.edu or gaicat.it.ilstu.edu. Please bookmark the links to use them in the future. It is a part of a research study conducted by Illinois State University and OSF Healthcare.

No personal data is collected here. Questions to the chatbot and its responses are being recorded in order to study the accuracy and usability of the chatbot.

We kindly ask you to use the five-digit user ID which was assigned to you when completing the initial survey. If you lose or forget your user ID, please enter 99999.

You can ask the bot any questions you want – from general knowledge to specific questions you’ve seen on the knowledge survey. Please keep in mind that providing more specific context will result in better answers from the bot. For example:

• Question 1: Explain ransomware.
• Question 2: You are an expert in cybersecurity working in healthcare. Explain why ransomware is a concern for hospitals.

In the example above, Question 2 will result in a better answer from the chatbot than Question 1.
